The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Fund

We are very proud to have been awarded support for our musical theatre piece, A Party in the Rainforest, from The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Fund. The Platinum Jubilee celebrates 70 years of The Queen’s reign and the fund marks this occasion.

The fund has supported projects that ‘create greater legacy for our places and spaces, and that support new opportunities, activities and build better relationships with one another, across generations with the natural world.’ To find out more about the fund and all the fantastic events taking place across the country to celebrate this milestone - click here.

Thanks to this support, we can provide our communities in Nottingham with a series of performances of our rainforest adventure musical play, featuring life-size animal and reptile puppets and an immersive rainforest experience. Young children and their families will be able to attend the community-based performances for free of charge, and they’ll be able to access engaging information on rainforests and how their destruction relates to the growing climate crisis.

We can’t wait to begin our tour of Nottingham. On the Jubilee weekend itself, we’ll be performing in The Meadows area of Nottingham, a thriving and culturally rich area of Nottingham’s inner city, where families will be able to enjoy singing and making music together whilst enjoying a day out at the popular Arkwright Community Gardens.
